Ever since actor-politician Vijay’s wife, Sangeetha, filed for divorce, alleging that he is involved in an extramarital affair with a fellow female actor, one section of social media has been targeting Trisha. The actress recently even shared a cryptic note on love and peace. Amid this, rumours were rife that she is planning to quit acting. However, she has dismissed such claims with a sharp note on her social media.
Trisha debunks rumours of quitting acting
According to actor-journalist Chithra Lakshmanan, several producers have indicated that Trisha could be planning to quit acting. While there has been no official confirmation from the actor, reports claim she has not signed any new projects recently, fuelling speculation about a possible exit.
However, Trisha has debunked the claims and called it a “fiction quota.” On Instagram, Trisha denied the retirement rumour with a quirky statement. She wrote, “Apparently I`ve quit films, married a rich businessman, and I`m raising quadruplets who turned two yesterday! Anything else I should add, or did we cover today`s fiction quota (sic)?”
The rumours gained further traction after Trisha shared a cryptic message about love on social media. Posting an image that read, “Love is not everything, and yet everything is meaningless without love,” she captioned it simply, “Fact.” This note comes at a time when her personal life is being under scrutiny.

Actress Trisha Krishnan garnered a lot of eyeballs as she recently arrived alongside actor and politician Vijay Thalapathy at a reception ceremony. During the reception, Trisha and Vijay walked up to the stage together to congratulate the newlyweds and even posed for photographs together. Not just that, they were also seen leaving the venue around the same time. Their appearance came at a time when Vijay`s wife, Sangeetha Sornalingam, filed a petition seeking divorce from the actor, citing his “adulterous relationship” with an actress as the reason.
Sangeetha, in her petition to the court, stated that she is a citizen of the UK and holds a BSc (Biomedical Science) degree from London. She informed the court that their wedding was first registered in the United Kingdom on July 10, 1998. Thereafter, a ceremonial wedding was performed according to Hindu rites on August 25, 1999, at Rajah Muthiah Mandram in Chennai.
Stating that the marital relationship was cordial and harmonious in the initial years, Sangeetha said that it was in April 2021 that she discovered that Vijay was involved in an adulterous relationship with an actress.
