Bhumi Pednekar had a stressful start to her day after a hoax bomb threat disrupted her flight plans. The actress took to social media to recount the unsettling incident, revealing how an irresponsible remark by a man triggered security protocols, leading to delays and chaos. She also highlighted the need for better civic sense and accountability in such situations.

Bhumi on hoax bomb threat that left her agitated

In a video, she explained how a man who wasn’t even a passenger on the flight triggered a security protocol and caused inconvenience. Taking to her Instagram Stories, Bhumi Pednekar shared a video explaining a concerning experience she had that morning. She says in the video, “We had a crazy morning. Richa and I were flying for some Backbay work.”

The Bhakshak actress continues, “Now, when we were boarding our flight, this guy was kind of misbehaving with the on-ground staff. And he wasn’t even a passenger on our flight. The on-ground staff had to call out, find a call, and so on. He kept getting triggered, saying, ‘Why are you disturbing me?’ We kind of laughed about it and entered.”

“Ten minutes after we were deboarded, there was a security threat. We later found out that the same guy, who wasn’t even a passenger on our flight, thought it was funny to scream that there was a bomb on that flight. Obviously, Indigo had to follow protocol and take all the necessary security measures, and kudos to them for doing that. But he wasted three hours, and I’m sure there was a massive economic impact,” she adds.

In an overlaying text on the video, she also wrote, “Crazy morning. Woke up at 5 am for an 8:45 am flight. Because of a silly joke or a loose statement some irresponsible man made, we were delayed by 3 hours. I’m told hoax calls/jokes like this happen often. We really need more civic sense. Finally reached.”
