Translators to assist visiting Maha BJP leaders in Kerala election campaign

“Ellavarkkum namaskaram!” (greetings to everyone), a phrase many leaders from Maharashtra may soon begin their speeches with as the BJP deploys them to campaign in Kerala, with translators accompanying them to bridge the language barrier.

The BJP has deployed translators and linguistic experts from its South Indian Cell to assist leaders from the state while addressing meetings and rallies. According to party leaders, office-bearers from Maharashtra have been assigned organisational responsibilities in different parts of Kerala.

Election schedule

The five-year term of the Kerala Legislative Assembly ends soon, and elections to elect a new government in Kerala will be held on April 9.

Shrikant Bharatiya, BJP MLC

‘Local language support will help visiting leaders communicate more effectively with local workers and voters, ensuring that campaign messages are conveyed clearly during rallies and meetings. This coordinated effort will provide a stronger organisational push and wider outreach, which we hope will improve the party’s electoral prospects in one of the key southern states’
