Tamil actress Trisha Krishnan recently made headlines after appearing publicly with rumoured boyfriend and actor-politician Vijay. A few days after the eye-catching appearance, Trisha was spotted at the airport. Upon her arrival, reporters began questioning her about the controversy. Their appearance came at a time when Vijay’s wife, Sangeetha Sornalingam, reportedly filed for divorce accusing him of an extramarital affair.
Trisha avoids media questions
A video shared by a news agency shows Trisha walking towards the Chennai International Airport dressed in a casual outfit and carrying a handbag. She was also seen wearing black shades to protect herself from the heat. As she walked towards the airport entrance, reporters approached her and asked questions about the alleged controversy involving her and Vijay. One of them could be heard asking about the recent reports surrounding them. However, Trisha chose to ignore the commotion and remained calm. She quickened her pace and walked past the reporters without acknowledging their questions.
Vijay and Trisha’s public appearance
Recently, Vijay attended the wedding reception of producer Kalapathy Suresh’s son in Chennai. What caught everyone’s attention was that he was accompanied by Trisha. The two were seen twinning in off-white traditional outfits. Vijay wore an off-white shirt paired with a veshti, while Trisha looked elegant in a similar-coloured saree with a red blouse.
About Vijay and Sangeetha’s divorce
Vijay, who is also the chief of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), is currently facing divorce proceedings after Sangeetha reportedly filed a petition in the Chengalpattu family court.
The petition comes amid reports that Sangeetha has been living separately from the actor. According to the filing, she accused Vijay of infidelity, alleging that he was involved in an “adulterous relationship” with an actress.
The petition further claims that in April 2021, Sangeetha discovered the alleged relationship, which caused her “deep emotional pain and mental suffering,” amounting to betrayal and a violation of marital trust. It also states that Vijay continued to publicly associate with the said actress, which allegedly caused emotional distress and embarrassment to their children.
