What was acclaimed author Arundhati Roy’s first brush with acting like? See it for yourself, as In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones (1989) is set to arrive in theatres on March 13. Director Pradip Krishen’s film has been restored by Shivendra Singh Dungarpur’s Film Heritage Foundation. Reflecting on the movie, Roy stated, “Why does this scrappy little film, made 38 years ago, keep surfacing from its life underground? I believe it’s because all of us worked on it with joy. Looking back at Annie now… I see a light-hearted film about a group of young people who are certainly not from the most deprived sections of society, but for whom the cut-throat rat race is not the driving force.”
