Ram Charan parties with Allu Sirish amid Ayyappa deeksha; latter defends 

Pushpa star Allu Arjun recently threw a glamorous cocktail party in Hyderabad for his brother, Allu Sirish, and his soon-to-be sister-in-law, Nayanika Reddy ahead of their wedding. As pictures and videos from the celebrations emerged, fans noticed video of Ram Charan attending it while in Ayyappa deeksha (spiritual vow). This led to many questioning how the actor could be attending a party while in mala (sacred beads). However, Sirish has now clarified that his cousin`s presence.

Allu Sirish clarifies Ram Charan`s attendance at the cocktail party

Traditionally, those in Ayyappa deeksha are expected to follow a rigorous routine for 41-48 days, during which they dress in black, go barefoot, sleep on the floor, observe celibacy, and eat only vegetarian food, avoiding onions, garlic, and alcohol. Men in deeksha are often referred to as Swami.

Many on the internet had pointed out that Ram Charan attended a party where alcohol was being served while in deeksha. When a fan commented, “Charan Swami,” along with heart eye emojis, Sirish responded to the comment. Clearing the air, he wrote, “swami came before any of us touched alcohol. Wished us & left. Love his dedication to Lord Ayyappa!”

Ram Charan is known for being spiritual, particularly his dedicated observance of the Ayyappa Deeksha. Ram Charan has continued to maintain the tradition for more than two decades. His dedication to the deity is often cited as a testament to his grounded nature and his commitment to Sanatana Dharma.

During the 41-day spiritual abstinence undertaken by devotees, Ram Charan consistently observes a 41-45 day Deeksha (vratham) before visiting the Sabarimala temple located in Kerala. Among the multiple strict customs that he follows during this period, the actor wears the Ayyappa Mala every day. He also keeps his lifestyle very simple. He wears black clother, walks barefoot, follows a sattvic (pure-vegetarian diet), and also focuses on peace, devotion, and self-control.

According to the customs, he is also known to make significant lifestyle changes during this period, such as sleeping on the floor and avoiding worldly indulgences. The actor has been consistently following the practice for over 20 years in adherance to the Ayyappa Deeksha tradition. He follows it even during promotions and hectic work schedules.
