Hollywood star Vin Diesel showered praise on Priyanka Chopra at the Los Angeles première of The Bluff, calling her “such an incredible talent”. Speaking to the press, Vin said, “She is so amazing in this movie, and she was so nice to my kids in Europe when they had a screening.” He added, “The only other person I want you to think about is the late Nelson Mandela. We are all trying to make this world a better place.”

Following her success in Telugu cinema with Sita Ramam (2022) and Hi Nanna (2023), actor Mrunal Thakur says she has made a conscious choice to engage with both Bollywood and south cinema. Born to a Marathi-speaking family in Maharashtra’s Dhule city, Mrunal garnered acclaim for her performance in her debut in Telugu films in the 2022 period romance drama opposite Dulquer Salmaan, and followed it with yet another romantic-drama with Nani. “When I started my career, there were so many things on the planner, I needed to do this or that, but the time was not correct then. Now when the time is right, I want to make sure that I give my all, and balance both industries,” the actor told PTI in an interview.
AI will make filmmaking cheaper

Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur on Tuesday (February 17) said artificial intelligence (AI) will dramatically lower the cost of filmmaking and open doors for a new generation of storytellers. The director, known for critical and commercial hits such as Masoom (1983), Mr India (1987), and Bandit Queen (1994), said he has already begun using AI in his own work. “In filmmaking, it will bring a lot of new filmmakers in because the cost of filmmaking is going to come crashing down with AI. That’s what’s going to happen,” the director told PTI on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in Mumbai.
