Priyanka Chopra is all set to make her comeback in Indian cinema with SS Rajamouli’s highly anticipated project Varanasi. The actress, who made a move to the US to work in Hollywood projects a few years ago, will be returning to her roots after nearly six years. She recently revealed that, for Varanasi, she had a special request for SS Rajamouli before saying yes to the film.

During an interview with Cinema Blend, Priyanka Chopra said, “So, I haven’t done an Indian film in six years. So when SS Rajamouli called me and was like, ‘This female character is really cool, and you have to be in it,’ whatever. And so I was like, ‘I have one request, can you make me dance, please? Because I haven’t danced in so long.`”

Mahesh Babu went on to add, “He made her dance and how.” Priyanka shared, “Whoa, I should not have asked because we are dancing. Oh my god, there’s a lot. And poor Mahesh was like, ‘Just because of you, I have to do it too.`” Mahesh Babu said, “It’s sensational. I think one song we’ve already shot for, and it keeps playing in our minds. She kept singing it all the time. That song was because she wanted to dance.”

As Priyanka officially returns on an Indian film set after nearly six years with Varanasi, she was also asked about the possibility of revisiting two of her most popular franchises, Don, which saw her working with Shah Rukh Khan and Krrish, where she was seen that saw her with Hrithik Roshan. Reacting to the speculation, the actress said, “I don`t know if I can talk about either of them at all.”

Mahesh Babu soon quipped, “Then there`s something happening.”

Priyanka went on to tease, “Exciting, exciting times ahead, and, yes, this (Varanasi) is the first one that I`m doing after, like, almost six years in India, and just coming back. My favourite part, was getting to dance again, haven`t done that in any of my Hollywood productions. I was really excited to be able to do that.”
