Actor Annu Kapoor has angered netizens with his recent comment on actress Tamannaah Bhatia and her appearance on Aaj Ki Raat. He joked about the actress’s claim that children fall asleep while listening to her sing and referred to her body as “dudhiya” (milky). Social media users criticized the comment as inappropriate and vulgar.
What did Annu Kapoor say
Annu Kapoor was talking to Shubhankar Mishra on her podcast when he spoke about watching the show Aaj Ki Raat. The host asked Kapoor if he liked the song and if he admired the actress. In an excited tone, Kapoor said, “Mashallah, kya dudhiya badan hai (Oh my god, what a milky body she has).” This led the host to recall Tamannaah’s remark about children falling asleep to her singing.
Reacting to it, Kapoor said, “Kitne umar ke bacche so jaate hain… 70 saal ke umar ka bhi bachcha ho sakta hai na… main hota toh puchta ke kitne umar ke so jaate hain. Angrezi mein bolte hain that he is 70 years old, woh 70 saal purana bacha hai… and he is 11-year-old budha (Kids of which age sleep? A 70-year-old can also be a kid. I would have asked this question to her).”
He further added, “Behen, apne gaane se, aapne shareer se, apne dudhiya chehre se humare bacche ko sulti hain… Bahut achi baat hai. Desh ke upar kripa hogi agar humare bacche achi aur swasthya neend soyein. Agar aur bhi kuch ichchhaayein hain toh bhagwan unko samarth karre ke unki ichchha puri ho (Our sister is making kids sleep with her song, with her milky face and body. If she is making our children sleep well, it’s very good. It will be a great blessing for this country that our children get a good and healthy night’s sleep. If she has any other wishes, may God give her the capability to fulfill them).”

Netizens did not take the comments lightly, calling them vulgar and in poor taste. Many demanded that Annu Kapoor apologize. One user wrote, “Annu Kapoor should apologize! Many people are saying that when the senior actor made an unflattering comment about Tamannaah Bhatia, `Mashallah, what a milky body!` it was not right to make such lewd comments about a woman.”
Another commented, “Please be respectful. Don’t you have a daughter or grandchildren?” while others wrote, “Omg” and “Wth! This man gives tharki vibes (creepy vibes).”
Tamannaah speaks on being called ‘milky beauty’
Earlier this year, Tamannaah responded to a question about being labelled a “milky beauty” for her role in the film Odeal. She said, “You are saying milky beauty, but why, when you looked at a milky beauty, did you think she can’t be a Shiva Shakti? Glamour in a woman is to be celebrated, and we women must celebrate ourselves. Then we can expect others to celebrate us.”
She added, “Here we have a wonderful gentleman [Ashok Teja] who does not look at women like that. He looks at women as divine. Divine can be glamorous, lethal, powerful. A woman can be many, many things.”
