Actors Mouni Roy and Disha Patani’s friendship has often grabbed headlines. Now their bond is back in the spotlight, after Mouni shared a picture with her bestie; however, she deleted it later. This comes at a time when Mouni is going through a separation from her husband, Suraj Nambiar.
Mouni shares post for `little sister` Disha Patani
On Tuesday, May 26, Mouni shared a glamorous picture with Disha on Instagram stories and referred to her as her “little sister” in the caption. However, the Brahmastra actor later deleted the post. Nevertheless, screenshots had begun circulating online by them, especially amid ongoing buzz around Mouni’s separation from businessman Suraj Nambiar.
In the picture shared, Mouni was seen posing in a black cut-out mini outfit paired with sneakers, while Disha Patani kept it sporty and casual in a white sports bra, oversized denims and a white cap.
Although the reason why Mouni deleted the post remains unclear, the timing of the post has raised eyebrows online. Amid Mouni and Suraj`s separation, Disha found herself at the centre of trolling as she was linked to the failed marriage.
Fans who follow their social media closely know the two actors have long shared a close bond. The two are often seen together on luxury holidays abroad, photoshoots and party appearances.

However, their friendship became the subject of unwanted speculation after several social media users accused Disha of being responsible for the rift between Mouni and Suraj. Amid the backlash, Disha had reportedly disabled comments on some of her social media posts after being subjected to hate messages on the internet.
On May 18, Suraj also addressed the rumours publicly, firmly denying all speculation surrounding their separation and any involvement of a `third party`, which many believed was Disha.
“Recent baseless reports surrounding our separation have been made in bad taste and are absolutely malicious. Let me set the record straight once and for all. There is no alimony. There are no disputes. There is no third party involved,” Suraj wrote on social media.
He added, “Mouni and I chose to part ways together, with mutual respect and with full consideration for each other’s well-being. That is the truth. Everything else being reported is fiction, and in some cases, a deliberate attempt to vilify two people who have done nothing but ask to be left alone.”
