​Power outage hits Dadar, Wadala and Parsi Colony after transformer trip 

A power outage affected parts of central Mumbai, including Dadar, Wadala and Parsi Colony, on Friday evening after a technical fault at the Kings Way receiving station in Dadar, officials said.

According to information shared by BEST’s Public Relations Office, the disruption was reported at around 9.25 pm on May 22 after Transformer No. 2 and Transformer No. 3 at the receiving station experienced an air trip, leading to an interruption in electricity supply.

BEST officials said repair and restoration work began immediately after the fault was detected. Authorities estimated that it could take nearly four hours to fully restore power supply in the affected areas.

Technical teams were deployed at the site to carry out repair operations and monitor the situation.

Residents in some areas reported temporary disruption to household electricity and local services following the interruption.

Efforts to restore power underway

BEST officials said efforts were being made to restore electricity supply at the earliest. Further updates are expected once repair work is completed and power is gradually restored across all affected zones.
