Peddi: Ram Charan thanks Salman Khan, Aamir Khan for paving way for sports drama 

Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor unveiled the trailer of Peddi in Mumbai amid the presence of media and fans. At the press conference, Ram Charan credited Salman Khan and Aamir Khan for paving the way for physically demanding sports dramas with Sultan and Dangal. Calling the role extremely challenging, the actor revealed that he suffered multiple injuries during preparation.

At the press conference, he said, “Physically, it was very challenging. Thanks to, first of all, Salman sir and Aamir sir for giving us and paving the path for films like Sultan and Dangal. It gave us so much confidence. Thanks to both of them for starting this journey, and we believe these kinds of films had worked in the past, and we followed the same route.”

The actor revealed that he suffered many injuries while preparing for the role and filming action scenes. “It’s physically challenging. I don`t know how Aamir sir and Salman sir have done it. I`ve had a lot of injuries,” he shared.

“I also believe this is the most inspiring story I have done in my life. Not just me, my dad saw a part of it and said, ‘Ram, for anybody to get a film like this, it normally takes a decade.’ Every year, we cannot have a Magadheera or RRR. It takes a while. He said, ‘Please relish every moment of this because you are not going to get a movie like this again,’” said Ram Charan.

He added, “So when Magadheera happened, then Rangasthalam and RRR, it took ten years. But luckily, thoda jaldi aa gaya ye film. So, good films don’t come very easily, and this is one of those films I want to keep in my library forever.”
