Mumbai is set to experience clear skies along with hot and humid conditions on Sunday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The city will continue to see warm daytime temperatures, with humidity adding to the discomfort for residents.
The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 33 degree Celsius, while the minimum is likely to settle near 27 degree Celsius, with humidity levels at about 63 per cent.
Regional temperature data shows steady warmth
According to IMD data for the day, minimum temperatures were recorded at 27.5 degree Celsius in Colaba and 28.1 degree Celsius in Santacruz, with no rainfall reported across stations.
Air quality remains in ‘good’ category
Despite the heat, Mumbai’s air quality remained largely stable. The Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 54 at 10 am, as per the Central Pollution Control Board’s Sameer App, placing it in the ‘satisfactory’ to ‘good’ range.
An AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’, while readings between 51 and 100 fall under the ‘satisfactory’ category. Although the city’s air quality remained largely stable.
Several monitoring stations across Mumbai recorded AQI levels within the satisfactory to good range during the morning hours.

Lower levels were seen in Chembur at 38, Worli at 37, and Mulund West at 36. Sewri recorded a cleaner AQI of 24, while Powai reported the lowest reading at 17, indicating the cleanest air among the monitored locations.
Officials noted that although overall air quality remains stable, individuals sensitive to pollution may experience mild respiratory discomfort in certain pockets of the city.
While Mumbai continues to face hot and humid weather conditions, air quality across most parts of the city remains stable, offering some relief to residents.
