The much-awaited teaser for the Akshay Kumar-starrer, Welcome to the Jungle, was finally released on Friday. Fans have been eagerly awaiting this multi-starrer for a long time. The film includes a star-studded cast of over 30 actors in powerful roles. Ahead of the film`s release on June 26, the makers dropped the teaser of the film.

The teaser of Welcome to the Jungle stays true to the franchise’s trademark style of slapstick humour, absurd confusion, and nonstop comic situations. The Welcome franchise series began with Welcome, which starred Feroz Khan, Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, and Paresh Rawal, and went on to become a cult comedy. It remains one of Bollywood`s most loved entertainers.
Sharing the teaser on his social media accounts, Akshay wrote, “Welcome the madness, Welcome the laughter, Welcome the crazy chaos, Welcome the wildest chapter of the Welcome universe…WelcomeToTheJungle. After the first instalment, the second film, Welcome Back, was released in 2015, and starred actors John Abraham and Shruti Haasan replacing Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. Interestingly, both Welcome and Welcome Back were directed by Anees Bazmee.
Marking the third instalment, Welcome to the Jungle is directed by Ahmed Khan, and features a large ensemble cast including Suniel Shetty, Lara Dutta, Shreyas Talpade, Kiku Sharda, Krushna Abhishek, Rahul Dev, Daler Mehndi, and Mika Singh, among several others in prominent roles.

As soon as the teaser dropped, fans shared their views about the trailer. One fan of the franchise wrote, “The Welcome franchise mastered the art of turning absolute confusion into entertainment gold”, while another commented, “Finally! Welcome series ki wapsi 26 June ko theatres mein full masti guaranteed! Who`s excited?”
Meanwhile, many seemed unimpressed with the one-and-a-half-minute teaser. One such user said, “Welcome without Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor? Bro, that’s not a movie, that’s a goddamn funeral with bad lighting! Where the fk was the comedy? I laughed more at my bill!” Another user commented, “Welcome to the Cringe Pro Max Max. Super irritating teaser with noisy and clumsy stuff. Yuck.”
