A 45-year-old bouncer allegedly died by suicide after shooting himself with a licensed revolver at his residence in Poinsur, Kandivli East, around 4 pm on Monday. Following an alert, Samta Nagar police rushed to the spot and shifted the man to Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivli West, where doctors declared him dead before admission.

The police said the deceased was a resident of Poinsur Bihari Tekri. The revolver used was reportedly issued in Uttar Pradesh. He had worked as a security guard and bouncer for several companies and business establishments and was currently employed as a bouncer at a watch company showroom in Andheri, where he had been working for the past few years.

According to preliminary information, the man had returned home after completing his first shift, washed his face and hands, and then allegedly shot himself soon after. The deceased is survived by his wife and two school-going children. His wife was at home at the time of the incident.
