Farhan Akhtar and Ranveer Singh have reportedly been at loggerheads over the latter’s abrupt exit from Don 3. The long-running Don 3 dispute may finally see a resolution on Monday. The film body is now set to hold a press conference on May 25 to officially announce its decision after reviewing the matter.

In an official statement, FWICE announced that it will address the complaint filed by Akhtar against Singh concerning his alleged withdrawal from the film during the scheduled press conference. “During the press conference, FWICE will officially address the matter and communicate its stand and decision after examining the complaint and the related circumstances,” the statement read.

About the Don 3 controversy

Don 3 was officially announced in 2024 as the next chapter in the iconic Don franchise. The makers even unveiled Ranveer’s first look and announced Kiara Advani as the leading lady. However, the actress backed out of the film after she got pregnant.

A significant dispute emerged between Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar’s production house, Excel Entertainment, following Ranveer’s exit from the highly anticipated film Don 3. The Producers Guild of India intervened in the mediation. The core issue centered on Excel Entertainment demanding Rs 40 crore in compensation from Ranveer for pre-production expenses, scheduling delays, and related losses.

The actor reportedly left due to dissatisfaction with the script and the lack of a “bound script.” He also reportedly claimed that Farhan tried to prioritise other projects and his acting career over Don 3.

Amid all this controversy, reports also emerged that Ranveer had returned the signing amount and given the production house a stake in his next project, Pralay. However, Excel Entertainment rubbished those claims.

About Pralay

After the historic success of Dhurandhar (2025), Ranveer Singh is gearing up for Pralay, a high-concept zombie drama set during the COVID-19 pandemic and directed by Jai Mehta. Mounted on an estimated Rs 300 crore budget, it marks his most expensive standalone project. The movie is expected to go on floors in mid-2026. It also stars Kalyani Priyadarshan alongside Singh.
