Marking the auspicious occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi 2025, the Bharat Vikas Parishad – Captain Vinay Kumar Sachan Branch, Dombivli, organised a grand Tulsi sapling distribution drive on Sunday.
This annual initiative, aimed at promoting both environmental awareness and religious harmony, was conducted amid great enthusiasm by devotees and volunteers.
As part of the initiative, parishad members visited several prominent temples in Dombivli from the early hours of the morning, distributing sacred Tulsi saplings to devotees and temple authorities. These included the Ganesh Mandir Sansthan (Dombivli), MIDC Milap Nagar Ganesh Mandir, Govindanand Shriram Mandir (Afale Mandir), and the Hanuman Mandir at PNT.
Speaking about the initiative, Parishad President Vrunda Kulkarni stated that around 2,500 Tulsi saplings were distributed across these locations.
She emphasised that this drive not only honours the spiritual significance of Ashadhi Ekadashi but also promotes environmental conservation through the planting of the sacred Tulsi, known for its ecological and medicinal benefits.
A large number of senior and new volunteers from the Bharat Vikas Parishad actively participated in the drive. The initiative was well-received by devotees and temple committees, who appreciated the Parishad’s continued efforts in combining devotion with social responsibility.
This thoughtful gesture added a green and sacred dimension to the Ashadhi Ekadashi 2025 celebrations, reinforcing the message of sustainability and spiritual unity.
